A mother with a long history of mentally illness fatally shot her own son, then committing suicide at a Florida shooting range this weekend.

Marie Moore, 44, was at Shoot Straight, in Casselberry, FL, 20 minutes north of Orlando, the both a appeared to be getting along and enjoying the day, according to eye witness’s and surveillance videos. But for no apparent reason Marie Moore, went round the back of her son Mitchell Moore and shot him with a single shot, in the back of the head at point blank range. She the put the gun to her own mouth and pulled the trigger.

Mitchell Moore died on the scene, and Marie Moore died later in hospital. At the moment no one knows why Marie shot her son.
