The plane was a single engine turboprop which departed from Orvilla in California and heading towards Bozeman in Montana. The flight made a detour to Butte, where the pilot attempted to land. The Montana plane crashed and burst in to flames behind Holy Cross Cemetery near Bert Mooney Airport. This was only 300 yards from the runway.
Also a FedEx flight 80 has crashed and also burst into flames as it landed in heavy winds at Tokyo’s international airport. Police officials said both of the pilots died when the McDonnell Douglas MD-11, a mainstay of international cargo carriers, burst into flames Monday morning after bouncing, catching a wing on the ground and ending up with its left side smashed on runway.
